Theatre Royal Plymouth serves as a creative hub for 1.5 million residents and over 300,000 annual visitors. The organisation sought to refine its brand, balancing the expectations of loyal patrons with modern updates across digital and physical channels. From new tickets to advocacy campaigns, we updated and connected every communication channel.
We refreshed the brand identity to unify diverse visual channels, ensuring a seamless and cohesive experience that strengthened connections with loyal patrons. We enhanced communication channels by improving the website’s user experience and optimising marketing materials to cater to a broad audience, with a strong emphasis on sustainability.
To amplify advocacy efforts, we developed campaigns like the Gateway to Magic campaign, activating local spaces into memorable opportunities that connect back to the theatre.


We polished the website with reorganised pages, improved ticket-buying journeys, and added an “Our Story” section to connect the theatre with its community.


For physical materials, we designed a more sustainable brochure strategy, creating compact timeline-style leaflets and refreshed direct mail templates.



Digital updates included revamped email templates, front-of-house screens, and ad templates for major platforms, all aligned with the refreshed brand. We also crafted a comprehensive social media style guide for clear communication across departments.

The updated brand and assets unified Theatre Royal Plymouth’s visual identity, strengthening its connection with patrons and expanding its reach. The sustainable print strategy reduced costs while maintaining appeal for an older demographic. Advocacy campaigns and digital updates enhanced audience engagement, solidifying the theatre’s role as a beacon for live performance in a modern world.
